Clean Harbors is Hiring a Lab Chemist II (Rotating Shift) Near Union, OH

Our Linden, NJ Facility is Looking for a Lab Chemist II, they will beresponsible for sample preparation, the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional, white lab coat position that offers no travel and a flexible schedule! We are looking for an experienced individual with good work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols.
  • Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems.
  • Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation.
  • Maintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion.
  • Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
  • Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices.
  • Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
Key Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science is preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in hands-on laboratory experience with GCMS instrumentation.
  • Ability to set up and conduct chemical experiments/tests such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and titrations.
  • Superior organizational skills coupled with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
